Then on Saturday, please join us for the premier of our first Art-o-mat machine in Dallas. Our machine host will be the new Whole Foods Market on Park Lane. We will have a few local Art-o-mat® artists on hand to show off their work. So, come out and meet a few of the humans who keep our machines filled!

However, we are actively seeking more local artists to participate in this machine as well as machines throughout our network. So, this will be a great opportunity for Dallas artists to find out how to get involved.

A quick back-story. This National 11 column vendor was discovered in a barn in Northeast Texas. Even though this machine seemed beyond repair, the natural patin finish made it too interesting to send along to the scrapyard. To us, it felt like a pair of "faded jeans". So, for this approach we chose to do selective restoration while maintaining the original patina. Also, once geared to accept .30¢ in coins, this machine now accepts modern $5.00 bills and has energy efficient led lighting. So, this guy has been through a fairly hearty retrofit.

Anyway, it is very fitting that this machine is back home in Texas and with Whole Foods Market as the host. A percentage of sales will be donated to the Whole Planet Foundation. http://www.wholeplanetfoundation.org/

Also, this premier will be in conjunction with an exhibit of unique artworks created from reclaimed and recycled items by art students from St. Mark's School in Dallas.

Last week, we packed and shipped our 100th Art-o-carton®. This is a happy milestone for us.

Out of the 100 Art-o-cartons sold since 2007, most all were sent to patrons who cannot easily visit one of our machines. About 10+ were sent internationally. Many were sent as gifts where the buyers answered the questions for the recipients based on their close and personal relationships. This concept has been a valid addition to the Art-o-mat® project and the overall mission of Artists In Cellophane. Thanks to Chris for the purchase and letting us post these pics!

Also, the other week in Minneapolis was a blast. Boynton Health Services is a super positive addition to our network and The Le Méridien Chambers did a superb job hosting our Minneapolis Regional Swap Meet. Our Minneapolis/Minnesota artists are very professional and make strong work. It was impressive that some of our elite arto artists traveled from a few states away to attend the event. Here are some pics from the events...
